From Paris to London; Haul.

It's been a while since I've blogged but so much has happened!  I came home on Sunday from Paris for a good 12 hours in which by then I had to leave for my next flight - London!  So tiring, but anyways I'm here for a good 1.5 months and straight after I should be starting university.
Anyways, I've only been to typical stores lately such as Boots, Lush etc. and today I had a wonderful lunch at Wagamama.

Anyways, a few of my recent purchases:

Grease Lightening spot treatment - I've been applying less make-up lately however I doubt that's why I've been getting a few spots, maybe it's because I've been over applying the previous spot treatment I've been using.  Anyways, hope this won't disappointment.

I got this pack as well (can't remember the name of it) however it contains: Honey, I washed the kids; Rockstar; I should coco.  I've tried only 2 out of the three (the first two that have been listed) but hopefully I'll love the last just as much!

My very first massage bar!  I lovelovelove the scent, probably my favourite smell out of the other massage bars at Lush and hopefully this won't disappoint me either.  I can't wait to try this!

So, I wasn't sure which shower gel to get so I decided to get two travel sized ones instead!  I have really dry skin, and I also don't drink enough water - as a matter of fact, I can go days w/out drinking bottled water.  I'm always drinking some kind of juice instead which would explain why I purshased from the Shea collection.  I'm not too keen on the Moringa though, but we'll see how that goes.

  • What are you favourite body products/shower gels?  I'm also looking for a good body scrub - any suggestions? :)

Now, let's put all that aside.  One of the many things I love about London... is TEA. And their TEA SHOPS.  Espcially... WHITTARD OF CHELSEA.  Oh my god.  My mother is very well known to be a tea-maniac but I think I just proved people wrong!  Like mother and daughter.
Anyways, I purchased 3 instant teas:  Cranberry & Raspberry, Mango & Passionfruit, Dreamtime.

  • Does anyone else love tea as much as I do?  What's your favourite kind?

Shopping Goodies!

Hello my lovelies.

So, for a while now I've been thinking of purchasing a new bag for the vacation.  A bag that's big enough with long straps to be used as a crossbody bag.  I've seen quite a few people wearing them and I thought that this should be easy to find but it wasn't!  I can't tell whether it's because I was just picky or that there wasn't enough options but I just wasn't able to find a bag like that for quite sometime.  Anyways, I've been browsing through Accessorize and there wasn't really much on the site that I liked when it came to bags (the crossbody section, anyway) however when I went into the store I've managed to find things that wasn't been able to be found online.  And subsequently, I've managed to find just one or two goodies (including the bag!):

I am so in love with the colour.  I had to take a picture of it outside so you would all be able to see the exact shade!  There were many bags that were either black or brown but yes, I thought this taupe-y coloured bag was just too pretty to resist.  Perfect to carry around during the holidays (I'm not too keen to bring my Prada just yet, which is why I've been wanting an alternative).

Hmm.  I'm not sure exactly why I bought this scarf.  I really liked the colours and patterns but I'm not yet sure what to wear it with.  It's not too long (which is a bummer) but not too short either but I'm not comfortable with the length just yet.  I have a feeling this would look good with a plain top.

Retail Therapy.

"Retail therapy is shopping with the primary purpose of improving the buyer's mood or disposition."

This was what I exactly did today.  And surprisingly, it works.  For a short period of time - so I suggest you purchase something you really want/need.  Anyways, having said that; I wasn't disappointed with my purchases!

Mac lipsticks in Hot Tahiti and Cindy Lauper's version as well.  Very pleased with both!

Yes, I got the same two shirts in the same two colours shown above.  I was looking for a red one but unfortunately all were sold out so I went for purple instead.

I'm really really not a fan of the packaging - usually I'd judge the fragrance by it's bottle and how it's designed (it sometimes says a lot about the scent but most times I can be wrong as well) anyways, I wasn't too sure if I would purchase this because at the time I did not know what it would of smelt like - I had to read many reviews before going to the actual shop to try it on.  Anyways, I really like the scent!  It gives off a sensual, mysterious feel and having said that it would be most appropriate to use during the evening however I wear my perfumes 24/7 (instead of being addicted to shoes, I'm addicted to perfume!) and have a feeling I'll be switching my regular perfumes to this.

And to bring my day to an end; I decided to go to Pomme de Pain

Shrimp Biryani, anyone?

At the moment, it is exactly 20:00 pm - and for dinner I've decided to make Shrimp Biryani.  There's nothing better but to have an eccentric meal throughout the streets of Paris.  Actually, I'm just messing with you - if I could, I'd be dining out at a Pizzeria, but sadly I'm not.  However!  This doesn't mean that my dinner was at all bad, infact it was quite good.  A bit spicy, but good.  I've always been a fan of Indian Cuisine and anything spicy (however, there are a few things I cannot handle).  Anyways, have a look at the final product (again, was taken from my Blackberry):

Normally, you would have rice however I don't like rice.  Anyways, I did however try to find a similar recipe HERE.

Spoil myself silly.

I am insanely happy.  Captivated by words, intoxicated by the scenery.  Un tarte de saison à Pomme de Pain for lunch, denim oversized blouse/dress paired off with Chloé's Darla leather tote, doodling recipes, and maybe just maybe... spoil myself with pure delights.

Summer Requirements:

Lolita.  Cupcake à la rose et coeur à la fraise.  Toycamera analogcolor.

Recent Purchases!

So, I've been skipping quite a few "30 days" posts, but that's only because I've been a little too busy.  I've decided that I will continue it however, it won't be day-to-day posts.

Anyways, aside from that!  I've been doing quite a bit of shopping the past few days, and have formed quite a relationship with Zara lately.  Anyways, unfortunately I won't be posting everything that I've purchased, however I ended up doing some shopping today as well (bare in mind that the quality of the pix are not as good as I was using my Blackberry):

Got these babies from Zara!  I promise you that the leather is actually black, and not blue!  I was so happy when I found them for half price, and luckily the last two pairs came in my size!

Mac 188 brush, SO'BiO étic exfoliating facial mask in Organic pink quava, L'Oreal Lash Boosting Serum.
Haven't tried any one of them yet - but will be reviewing them asap!  However, I read good reviews on the boosting serum and the 188 brush.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Lockdown in Dramarama, Mac Blushcreme in LadyBlush.

So far, I've tried the eyeshadow and the blush.  The eyeshadow's lovely.  It was also on sale at Sephora and I was pretty happy to find that the shade was just exactly what I was looking for.  You see, I've been trying to search for the perfect eyeshadow that's creme-formulated and the only ones I could find at a reasonable price was Bourjois however even I thought their products were a bit over-priced and their colours weren't exactly my cuppa tea.  As soon as I found out about Too Faced's Lockdown - I was amazed to see that the price was actually cheaper than Bourjois's and the colour range wasn't as bad either.

As for the blush: Ah-may-zing!  I purchased the 188 brush so I could blend it in better as it was a hassle to use my fingers.  It brightens up my complexion (keep in mind that I have olive undertones) and gives the perfect glow.  I was looking for a creme blush anyway because I was hoping for a dewy look, also I prefer to go out with an "au naturel" look as it's summer.

Day Fifteen - SKIPPED.

Hello my lovelies!

Now, the reason why I've decided to skip this day's post is because I don't know a fanfic.  Don't follow any, either.  SO!  This will become one of my many random posts instead.  Enjoy :)

My summer so far has been filled with simplicity - or at least, I'd like to think so.  I've taken in small moments and have turned them into precious memories.  My day so far has been spoiled by the rain, however I'm not going to complain.  There's something so comforting about it.  It's the perfect excuse to go for a walk, or just cuddle in with a nice cup of tea.  Except this time, I didn't have tea.  No, this time I've found another comfort drink.  Strawberry Milk - homemade.

The recipe that I found was simple, and the results were delish:

1-2 cups of (I prefer skimmed) milk
A handful of strawberries.
1-3 tbsp of honey.

"Put milk, strawberries, and 1 Tbsp of honey into a blender. Blend until thoroughly smooth. Taste and add more honey if you wish your strawberry milk to be a little sweeter."

Enjoy!
