Rose flavoured cuppy cakes!

RESULT:

Now, I didn't follow the instructions exactly as how it was written because I did not have butter and self-rising flour.  I also didn't have caster sugar.   I ended up using veggie oil in replace of butter (except, you needed 1/2 cup of butter - I used 1/4 of oil), normal sugar instead of caster, and I added baking soda into my normal flour.  The result was nice, all that was needed to be in was rose water.  Once they were done, I also sprinkled more rose water on top of the cupcakes to give more rosey flavour.  Moist and delish!

OPI's Absolutely Alice replica.

I know I made a post just 5 minutes ago, saying how I'm going to mix in nail polishes to create the one stated on the title.

The two colours I've mixed in were:

Constance Carroll in 24 Electric Blue which was a REALLY dark navy blue colour.
&
Constance Carroll - not sure of the name but it was silver and glittery.

The result:

I can't use it on my nails as they're already painted so I have it swapped on a tissue, haha.

Absolutely Alice:

Anyways, it's not the exact same but it sure is close!  Any thoughts?

Also, how does everyone feel about Rose flavoured cupcakes?  Haven't baked in a while...

Nails and KFC.

I have been inspired by Lorraine to do my nails similar to hers after seeing them posted on her Youtube channel (or I think she made a post about it on her blog - not sure).  Anywyas, the results:

Please excuse the awful quality (taken from my webcam just now!) but yes.  Basically all nails (apart from the index finger) was painted pink and the index was silver.

For the pink I used OPI's Shorts Story and the silver was some random I've purchased a year ago in Paris.

I'm also thinking of mixing in a glitter silver with navy blue to create a replica of OPIs Absolutely Alice.  Will get back to you all on that soon :).

For the night, I've decided to lay off cooking.  I've been making midnight dishes for the past couple of days, but for the past two nights I've indulged myself with Chinese Take-out.  Mmm.  So instead, I'll be ordering in KFC and watch my shows that will soon start at 1 and 2 am.

I will also be doing a Fashion Inspiration post that will consist of many outfits etc that I'm hoping to work with/copy for the fall.

What a sad day; (Haul included).

I'm so upset to say that unfortunately I'm back.  We had to schedule our flights weeks earlier due to some problem.  I was just starting to get used to London, exploring the city and wondering around aimlessly.  Even flying back Business class did not make up for much.   Anyways, my mother came two days after my arrival and cheered me up with some goodies!  Still, I'd rather be sipping Early Grey and munching on scones w/ clotted cream & jam in London.  Sigh.

I think you have to purchase something from Clinique to recieve this gift.  Anyways, it's pretty much a make up bag, with two moisturizers, a 7 day week scrub, mascara and lipstick (in a shade which I most love)

This is a better close-up of the lipstick in Beauty.  Really pretty.  I'm always on the look for pink/red lipsticks that contain a nice beige tint.  I probably have many tubes of different lipstick that contain the same shades!

I was SO happy to see that my mother had purchased something from Benefit, especially after knowing it was Posie Tint!  I'm a fan of Benefit products, and my all-time favourite would have to be their High Beam highlighter which I have been neglecting lately :(.  Now, I don't wear as much make-up as I used to and I've definately stopped wearing foundation - not that there was a problem with the one I currently own.  I feel like Posie Tint would be the perfect thing to use everyday.  It's a cheek/lip stain which I think is perfect if I was on the go!  A good way to freshen up my face.

And last but not least, those are a few more products that I've purchased on my last week in London!  The Vaseline lip balm and Sudocream were just randoms that I was happy to buy, haha!  I heard good reviews on Sudocream being used on the face to clear things up, so I thought I'd give it a try.

The Kerastase shampoo could actually be found anywhere - and let me tell you.  It's AH-MAY-ZINGGG.  Their masks (which is the same colour of the packaging) is just as good too, except they were all sold out.  My hair is usually always frizzy and dry and this shampoo is just too good that I can actually skip out on conditioner!

TIGI Bedhead products have been something I've been looking for, for years!  I'm not kidding you.  It's been at least two years that I've been trying to find their products.  It's so hard to find them in France, and there's no sign of them here at home too (there was one shop that sold their products but then closed).  I'm so pleased with the After-Party.  There has never been a hair product that I've been 100% satisfied with, but this is it.  It's so light-weight so it doesn't greases and it makes your hair SO soft and shiny.  Healthy looking.  And let me tell you, with the amount of times I straighten my hair - it is NOT healthy.

From Paris to London; Haul.

It's been a while since I've blogged but so much has happened!  I came home on Sunday from Paris for a good 12 hours in which by then I had to leave for my next flight - London!  So tiring, but anyways I'm here for a good 1.5 months and straight after I should be starting university.
Anyways, I've only been to typical stores lately such as Boots, Lush etc. and today I had a wonderful lunch at Wagamama.

Anyways, a few of my recent purchases:

Grease Lightening spot treatment - I've been applying less make-up lately however I doubt that's why I've been getting a few spots, maybe it's because I've been over applying the previous spot treatment I've been using.  Anyways, hope this won't disappointment.

I got this pack as well (can't remember the name of it) however it contains: Honey, I washed the kids; Rockstar; I should coco.  I've tried only 2 out of the three (the first two that have been listed) but hopefully I'll love the last just as much!

My very first massage bar!  I lovelovelove the scent, probably my favourite smell out of the other massage bars at Lush and hopefully this won't disappoint me either.  I can't wait to try this!

So, I wasn't sure which shower gel to get so I decided to get two travel sized ones instead!  I have really dry skin, and I also don't drink enough water - as a matter of fact, I can go days w/out drinking bottled water.  I'm always drinking some kind of juice instead which would explain why I purshased from the Shea collection.  I'm not too keen on the Moringa though, but we'll see how that goes.

  • What are you favourite body products/shower gels?  I'm also looking for a good body scrub - any suggestions? :)

Now, let's put all that aside.  One of the many things I love about London... is TEA. And their TEA SHOPS.  Espcially... WHITTARD OF CHELSEA.  Oh my god.  My mother is very well known to be a tea-maniac but I think I just proved people wrong!  Like mother and daughter.
Anyways, I purchased 3 instant teas:  Cranberry & Raspberry, Mango & Passionfruit, Dreamtime.

  • Does anyone else love tea as much as I do?  What's your favourite kind?

Shopping Goodies!

Hello my lovelies.

So, for a while now I've been thinking of purchasing a new bag for the vacation.  A bag that's big enough with long straps to be used as a crossbody bag.  I've seen quite a few people wearing them and I thought that this should be easy to find but it wasn't!  I can't tell whether it's because I was just picky or that there wasn't enough options but I just wasn't able to find a bag like that for quite sometime.  Anyways, I've been browsing through Accessorize and there wasn't really much on the site that I liked when it came to bags (the crossbody section, anyway) however when I went into the store I've managed to find things that wasn't been able to be found online.  And subsequently, I've managed to find just one or two goodies (including the bag!):

I am so in love with the colour.  I had to take a picture of it outside so you would all be able to see the exact shade!  There were many bags that were either black or brown but yes, I thought this taupe-y coloured bag was just too pretty to resist.  Perfect to carry around during the holidays (I'm not too keen to bring my Prada just yet, which is why I've been wanting an alternative).

Hmm.  I'm not sure exactly why I bought this scarf.  I really liked the colours and patterns but I'm not yet sure what to wear it with.  It's not too long (which is a bummer) but not too short either but I'm not comfortable with the length just yet.  I have a feeling this would look good with a plain top.

Retail Therapy.

"Retail therapy is shopping with the primary purpose of improving the buyer's mood or disposition."

This was what I exactly did today.  And surprisingly, it works.  For a short period of time - so I suggest you purchase something you really want/need.  Anyways, having said that; I wasn't disappointed with my purchases!

Mac lipsticks in Hot Tahiti and Cindy Lauper's version as well.  Very pleased with both!

Yes, I got the same two shirts in the same two colours shown above.  I was looking for a red one but unfortunately all were sold out so I went for purple instead.

I'm really really not a fan of the packaging - usually I'd judge the fragrance by it's bottle and how it's designed (it sometimes says a lot about the scent but most times I can be wrong as well) anyways, I wasn't too sure if I would purchase this because at the time I did not know what it would of smelt like - I had to read many reviews before going to the actual shop to try it on.  Anyways, I really like the scent!  It gives off a sensual, mysterious feel and having said that it would be most appropriate to use during the evening however I wear my perfumes 24/7 (instead of being addicted to shoes, I'm addicted to perfume!) and have a feeling I'll be switching my regular perfumes to this.

And to bring my day to an end; I decided to go to Pomme de Pain
