What a sad day; (Haul included).

I'm so upset to say that unfortunately I'm back.  We had to schedule our flights weeks earlier due to some problem.  I was just starting to get used to London, exploring the city and wondering around aimlessly.  Even flying back Business class did not make up for much.   Anyways, my mother came two days after my arrival and cheered me up with some goodies!  Still, I'd rather be sipping Early Grey and munching on scones w/ clotted cream & jam in London.  Sigh.

I think you have to purchase something from Clinique to recieve this gift.  Anyways, it's pretty much a make up bag, with two moisturizers, a 7 day week scrub, mascara and lipstick (in a shade which I most love)

This is a better close-up of the lipstick in Beauty.  Really pretty.  I'm always on the look for pink/red lipsticks that contain a nice beige tint.  I probably have many tubes of different lipstick that contain the same shades!

I was SO happy to see that my mother had purchased something from Benefit, especially after knowing it was Posie Tint!  I'm a fan of Benefit products, and my all-time favourite would have to be their High Beam highlighter which I have been neglecting lately :(.  Now, I don't wear as much make-up as I used to and I've definately stopped wearing foundation - not that there was a problem with the one I currently own.  I feel like Posie Tint would be the perfect thing to use everyday.  It's a cheek/lip stain which I think is perfect if I was on the go!  A good way to freshen up my face.

And last but not least, those are a few more products that I've purchased on my last week in London!  The Vaseline lip balm and Sudocream were just randoms that I was happy to buy, haha!  I heard good reviews on Sudocream being used on the face to clear things up, so I thought I'd give it a try.

The Kerastase shampoo could actually be found anywhere - and let me tell you.  It's AH-MAY-ZINGGG.  Their masks (which is the same colour of the packaging) is just as good too, except they were all sold out.  My hair is usually always frizzy and dry and this shampoo is just too good that I can actually skip out on conditioner!

TIGI Bedhead products have been something I've been looking for, for years!  I'm not kidding you.  It's been at least two years that I've been trying to find their products.  It's so hard to find them in France, and there's no sign of them here at home too (there was one shop that sold their products but then closed).  I'm so pleased with the After-Party.  There has never been a hair product that I've been 100% satisfied with, but this is it.  It's so light-weight so it doesn't greases and it makes your hair SO soft and shiny.  Healthy looking.  And let me tell you, with the amount of times I straighten my hair - it is NOT healthy.

Shopping Goodies!

Hello my lovelies.

So, for a while now I've been thinking of purchasing a new bag for the vacation.  A bag that's big enough with long straps to be used as a crossbody bag.  I've seen quite a few people wearing them and I thought that this should be easy to find but it wasn't!  I can't tell whether it's because I was just picky or that there wasn't enough options but I just wasn't able to find a bag like that for quite sometime.  Anyways, I've been browsing through Accessorize and there wasn't really much on the site that I liked when it came to bags (the crossbody section, anyway) however when I went into the store I've managed to find things that wasn't been able to be found online.  And subsequently, I've managed to find just one or two goodies (including the bag!):

I am so in love with the colour.  I had to take a picture of it outside so you would all be able to see the exact shade!  There were many bags that were either black or brown but yes, I thought this taupe-y coloured bag was just too pretty to resist.  Perfect to carry around during the holidays (I'm not too keen to bring my Prada just yet, which is why I've been wanting an alternative).

Hmm.  I'm not sure exactly why I bought this scarf.  I really liked the colours and patterns but I'm not yet sure what to wear it with.  It's not too long (which is a bummer) but not too short either but I'm not comfortable with the length just yet.  I have a feeling this would look good with a plain top.

Retail Therapy.

"Retail therapy is shopping with the primary purpose of improving the buyer's mood or disposition."

This was what I exactly did today.  And surprisingly, it works.  For a short period of time - so I suggest you purchase something you really want/need.  Anyways, having said that; I wasn't disappointed with my purchases!

Mac lipsticks in Hot Tahiti and Cindy Lauper's version as well.  Very pleased with both!

Yes, I got the same two shirts in the same two colours shown above.  I was looking for a red one but unfortunately all were sold out so I went for purple instead.

I'm really really not a fan of the packaging - usually I'd judge the fragrance by it's bottle and how it's designed (it sometimes says a lot about the scent but most times I can be wrong as well) anyways, I wasn't too sure if I would purchase this because at the time I did not know what it would of smelt like - I had to read many reviews before going to the actual shop to try it on.  Anyways, I really like the scent!  It gives off a sensual, mysterious feel and having said that it would be most appropriate to use during the evening however I wear my perfumes 24/7 (instead of being addicted to shoes, I'm addicted to perfume!) and have a feeling I'll be switching my regular perfumes to this.

And to bring my day to an end; I decided to go to Pomme de Pain

Recent Purchases!

So, I've been skipping quite a few "30 days" posts, but that's only because I've been a little too busy.  I've decided that I will continue it however, it won't be day-to-day posts.

Anyways, aside from that!  I've been doing quite a bit of shopping the past few days, and have formed quite a relationship with Zara lately.  Anyways, unfortunately I won't be posting everything that I've purchased, however I ended up doing some shopping today as well (bare in mind that the quality of the pix are not as good as I was using my Blackberry):

Got these babies from Zara!  I promise you that the leather is actually black, and not blue!  I was so happy when I found them for half price, and luckily the last two pairs came in my size!

Mac 188 brush, SO'BiO étic exfoliating facial mask in Organic pink quava, L'Oreal Lash Boosting Serum.
Haven't tried any one of them yet - but will be reviewing them asap!  However, I read good reviews on the boosting serum and the 188 brush.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Lockdown in Dramarama, Mac Blushcreme in LadyBlush.

So far, I've tried the eyeshadow and the blush.  The eyeshadow's lovely.  It was also on sale at Sephora and I was pretty happy to find that the shade was just exactly what I was looking for.  You see, I've been trying to search for the perfect eyeshadow that's creme-formulated and the only ones I could find at a reasonable price was Bourjois however even I thought their products were a bit over-priced and their colours weren't exactly my cuppa tea.  As soon as I found out about Too Faced's Lockdown - I was amazed to see that the price was actually cheaper than Bourjois's and the colour range wasn't as bad either.

As for the blush: Ah-may-zing!  I purchased the 188 brush so I could blend it in better as it was a hassle to use my fingers.  It brightens up my complexion (keep in mind that I have olive undertones) and gives the perfect glow.  I was looking for a creme blush anyway because I was hoping for a dewy look, also I prefer to go out with an "au naturel" look as it's summer.

Haul and review!

It's a shame that the weathers sad and gloomy; I had my whole day planned but unfortunately, summer rain had to spoil it all.  So, I decided to cheer myself up and purchased some make-up!  Now, I've been lusting over many products at Sephora, however this girl is saving up her mula for a new phone (yes, a new phone - sigh).  So I decided to go to Monoprix; which I'm guessing is the french-version of Target, Walmart, etc.

Now, lately I have quite an obsession with lipsticks and I told myself that I would stop but oh no!  That was complete BS.  I have however stopped purchasing eyeshadows (I have no desire on purchasing any crazy colours; just ones I use on a daily basis) and as for blushes, there's only one that I use and love (MAC Desert Rose) however I'm debating on whether or not I should get Benefits SugarBomb (I'm a sucker for their packaging and colours!).

But in the meantime!  Lets review some of my recent purchases! :)

Revlon Matte Lipstick in 002 Pink Pout:

I absolutely love this!  I have no idea why I purchased something nude-pink because I can't ever pull that look off!  Ever!  However, the colour was just too pretty, haha.  So, I decided to give it a shot.  Anyways, I love this!  I think the shade is perfect for my skin tone but of course with the right eye make-up as well.  I don't think I'll be considering anymore light pink shades though, but this is a keeper!

Bourjois Sweet Kiss in 43 Rose Pomponne

I normally don't like Bourjois products - their blushes make me break out and their foundation cakes up my face.  However, I do like their lipsticks (and liquid eyeshadows!).  The texture is so smooth and light and the shade is just beautiful.  A nice mauve pink - perfect for an everyday look!  I'm currently using Twig by Mac but I have a feeling I'll be switching it up with this!  Not a fan of the packaging thought but oh well.

I also ended up buying nail polish - I'm not able to find the right shade over the net however the brand is Debby and their nail polishes are amazing!  I love their quality and the consistency is amazing!  I might even consider ditching OPI's and going for this brand instead, mostly because when it comes to OPI nail polishes, the consistency is thick and I also have to have about 5 coats to get an even colour - I have no patience for that.  I might consider looking into their make-up range, but the prices are affordable however not much variety when it comes to their nail polish collection.  Sigh.
